Real Life... worth every cent!

I finished reading Real Life by Dr. Phil McGraw yesterday. Interesting read! Packed with all the self awareness one person needs to create their authentic real life! A must read and must have reference book not to be shelved!

I’m continuing my journey of self discovery. I'm prioritizing my wants and desires for goal setting. I'm making me a To-Do list for when I get back to Texas.

  • First, I must give thanks to my 2 month retreat, had I ignored my want and desire to come to Arkansas I would not have found the answers to my fork as quickly as I did and I would have missed the faith walk, not to be mistaken with a cake walk (Do you remember cake walks? I love them!). I believe it's been the best 2 months I've spent alone since I don't know when. I'm refreshed!
  • Second, I am thrilled to have started my blog, it's a personal thing I've wanted to do for a very long time. As I begin to sort my thoughts and get organized my blog will become more like a file cabinet. Expect to find lots of changes as I tweak it. LOL~

If you haven't noticed already, I started adding books, music and before long movies to my blog using Amazon. I personally love shopping Amazon so now that I've started blogging, I decided to add Amazon's associate program to my blog. For several reasons, one it gives me quick access to shop and post my favorite items directly in my Colleen’s Shoppe for future reference and I do a ton of research shopping before I purchase most things, especially electronics so I find the feedback referrals beneficial. My research items will likely go in a “wish list”.

Also, I have extensive cookbook, movie and CD collections so I have plenty to blog about, I think having the items in Colleen’s Shoppe is beneficial to my readers should they choose to purchase an item. Some things I purchased were great finds and must keeps and some not so much my cup of tea, but might be yours. Overall, what I love about Amazon is the bounty of opinions and feedback comments which you don't typically find shopping at online stores (Wal-mart, Best Buy, Target, etc).

And finally, there is a financial benefit. Most people know when you click on a link and purchase items through that link commissions are paid to the link host (in this case, Amazon pays me commission). I'm not here to get rich. I do appreciate any support I can get though and hey, if someone’s shopping Amazon anyway then why not, it only makes cents! Visit Colleen's Shoppe if you like.

My goal and passion in life is to be informed, shop wise, and spend cents! I'll share my tricks of living life with cents of mind! Feel free to share yours!

My nickel for the day! "It takes courage and wisdom to create, and more importantly, own your life experience." By Dr. Phil McGraw
